In the modern time a PR personnel can be very well referred to as the gatekeeper of any company as it is his responsibility to filter all information that goes out of the organization in every and any form. Thus a PR personnel is a person who always has to keep his eyes and ears open towards any type of communication process going on within or even outside the organization.Every PRO must know about certain basic questions and its answers that can help him prove his worth in order to protect, build and sustain his company's reputation and image. I present to you some easy questions that doesn't have any particular correct answer as it simply depends upon your understanding of the working of PR, there is no incorrect answer as no ones thought can be incorrect, its just more or less suitable. There are a few sets of questionnaire, and this is the first one. After you figure out your understanding for the following, then you can also turn up to the same place for knowing our suggestions on this set within 2-3 days, and also catch up for the other set. Good luck to all my friends…

India PR: Deepika Padukone and her PR strategy

  • Apr 17, 2008
  • Post a comment

This young, dynamic and talented (explained below) actress has excellent potential to be one of the most sought after the bollywood actress but what makes her extraordinary is the excellent PR skills that she pursues.

The arena of PR has become so wide that is foolish to say that the PR skills are an attribute of PR professionals only, bacuase publicity is the thing that you gain through your attitude, skills, social involvement, understanding the issue, active participation in events etc.

Although, Deepika Padukone & Sonam Kapoor started their career at almost same age and both begun with big banner films with great directors yet somewhere Sonam's identity got blurred , under the publicity that was showered upon Deepika.

Before the release of Om Shanti Om, there was no discussion about the actress, no one know who the heroine but as the film approached release, Deepika was flashed out in limelight by one and all. And then ofcourse, there is no looking back for her as her "so called affairs" will never let the spotlight move away & this exactly is what we mean by PUBLICITY.

Thus, we see that nowadays to establish oneself in Bollywood, its not necessary to have a bollywood background but what one needs is the exequisite PR skills ( which one could developed by the help of good PR professional) to establish oneslf.

Cheers!

Two biggest happening in Indian PR Industry.

Indian Public Relations Industry has seen two major breaks through within last 6 months. First, when Publicis acquired Hanmer & Partner and second, when ASSOCHAM recognized it as a $ 3 billion Industry and potential to grow to $ 6 billion by 2010.

Above mentioned information is more than enough to prove the tremendous potential of PR industry, it is because of this high growing rate that most of the International PR companies have begun their operation in India.

According to the report given by ASSOCHAM, the estimated size of Indian PR industry is $ 3 bn, but somehow the count of PR professionals doesn’t match and in their eyes the Indian PR industry stands somewhere around Rs 250-300 cr, only, and this is indeed quite surprising.

One of the biggest challenges that the industry has to tackle is the rate of attrition, which approximately is around 40%, and the main reason for this is the job dissatisfaction amidst its employees. It was an unofficial survey that we undertook just in order to come closer to the working of our industry and the result we got was shocking but to an extent very true. The FLATERERS have it all and others are left with nothing that is what all the executives and people at managerial level in this industry have got to say as an answer to this crucial question. Apart from this, low salary against the huge mental work plays another very important role in letting the people flee. The major reason that keeps the employees intact is the challenge associated with this industry.

We, at Renaissance PR, have been trying to keep ourselves aloof from such problem and will do every possible task to keep our employees intact. We would love to build up a relation which will not just remain professional but also comes to a stage of being ones own, their PERSONAL. That’s what we mean by “Nurturing Relations”.
